| Bootlegger nabbed, liquor recovered | | |
Rajouri, May 25: Police claimed to have foiled a liquor smuggling bid and arrested a bootlegger.
Team of police headed by SHO Kandi Mustaj Ahmed under the supervision of DySP Hqrs, Govind Rattan was on naka checking duty at Kandi Galla on Rajouri Kotranka road when cops intercepted a person who was moving in suspicious circumstances.
On checking, he disclosed his name as Pritam Singh son of Chatter Singh resident of Bai Nambal, at present Koteranka while he was also carrying a bag. On frisking, 15 bottles of illicit liquor (750ml) were recovered. The man was arrested on the spot.
A case FIR 47/2019 under sections 48A Excise act has been registered in Kandi police station.
