Ramban, May 25: Divisional Commissioner (Div. Com), Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu, M K Sinha, today visited National highway in district Ramban and reviewed the arrangements for ensuing smooth and peace full conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2019.
Div. Com was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner (DC), Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Baht, SSP, Anita Sharma, SSP Traffic, JS Johar, ADC Dr. Basharat Hussain and various other officers inspects national highway langer sites from Chanderkote to Jawhar tunnel and interacted with the representative of langer authorities.
Div. Com visited various haltage points and shelter sheds designated for the yatries from Chaderkote to Shatani Nallah.
DC Ramban appraised Div. com about the arrangements made by various departments for convenience of yatries. Div Com asked the officers to put in place effective response mechanism with active emergency control numbers. He stressed on successful disaster management mechanism with quick rescue teams to deal with exigencies, if arise.
Div. Com also inspected the ongoing construction work of National Highway four laning and directed the concerned agencies to ensure smooth and safer passage of the traffic by maintaining potholes, drainages, sprinkling of water on road and installs the signboards bearing important contact numbers along the national highway. |
