Early Times Report
Doda, May 26: Education system of Gundna zone in Doda district is at peak as all the govt schools are without proper facilities, staff, accamodation. In a statement, President DRYWA Farid Ahmed Naik said that when our team visited newly upgrated Government High School Tantna is situated around 50 km from the district headquarters the school has more then 90 students enrolled, 7 Teachers and only 3 class rooms. This school also deprives basic facilities like other government schools in rural areas of district Doda, children's do not even have a playground for the morning assembly as morning assembly is going to be in the fields of locals.
Taking to media, Students and teachers said that people abuses us daily because we have no play ground in our school. According to the Headmaster of the school, few years ago Kail tree fell over the kitchen shed, causing totally damaged but still has not been removed. In addition there is another big problem faced by the students that there are only 4 rooms in good condition including office room due to which they are forced to take 3 classes in one room.
Farid Naik said that, It can be assessed what the children will study there even that teachers are very hard working but due to the lack of basic facilities like play ground, Kitchen, Class rooms etc. Both teachers as well as students are facing many problems.
Similar is the condition of Govt Primary School Gujrari is without playground and there is no facility of water in this school since the school was established.
Farid Naik said that District Rural Youth Welfare Association is always raising the issues pertaining to education across Doda district and our sole objective is to improve our education system so that the basic rights of the innocent children are not violated. Today once again DRYWA requested to the district administration and CEO Doda to look into this matter urgently and improved the education system in rural areas.
