Udhampur, May 26: Over 70,000 Population of over eight villages in Panchari Tehsil of District Udhampur suffer due to the non- avalibility of bridge / diversion over Kultyar Nallah. affected villages Kudal Pain , Landher , Latyar, Kultyar, Karcha , Badota , Sadota and Galiot Major villages in Panchari.
There are several big and small nallahs which came across if one travels through this block. One of them is Kultyra Nallah which has no bridge.
Pawan Kumar Sarpanch Kutyar Balla said that more than eight villages of Panchari Block many times remain cut off from the tehsil headquarter, as water level in this nallah increases considerably and people find it difficult to cross the nallah due to big boulders and high water level.
He added that Several people have lost their lives while crossing flooded nallah till date but the District Administration ,State Government seem least bothered. He also added that many times they approach the District Administration but got only false assurances. |
