Army organises mega medical camp

Nowshera, May 26: Rashtriya Rifles battalion of Indian Army conducted Mega medical camp at Lam villages of Qila Darhal Tehsil of Rajouri district. Medical specialist, gynaecologist, and physician from civil medical authority and two army doctors joint team team of three doctors from Army including Dentist and two doctors provided medical treatment, consultation and counseling to the poor villagers of the border area.
The medical camp also had a Army mobile dental van with dentist provided dental inspection, scaling, filling and also uprooted tooth of approx 48 patients. Approx 483 patients were provided with free medicines for all age groups. Special attention was given to all female patients by lady doctor. The army doctors educated the general public on prevention of various lifestyle diseases. In addition a blood donation was also organized in coordination with Jammu Medical College.
A total of 8 representative and staffs of jammu medical college were present. Army soldiers of Rashtriya Rifles battalion and Exservicemen donated approx 89 units of blood. All blood donors were awarded doner certificate from Bloodbank, Jammu.
A separate stall of Ayushman Bharat, SBI and DHFL was established to propagated various govt scheme. The civil administration, sarpanches and panches greatly appreciated the efforts of the Indian Army toward restoring the health of border villagers.
