TEDx Rajinder Park organizes motivational event

Jammu, May 26: Recently licensed TEDx Rajinder Park organized its motivational programme at Jammu Club today to undertake event TEDx talks.
It was organized by Shivani Vaid Sharma under license from TED (www.ted.com), which provides a platform for diverse ideas to be presented by fascinating speakers and performers of national and international repute, sharing their success stories and putting forth new captivating ideas to inspire the civil society, particularly the young generation.
TED is an internationally acclaimed Non-profit Organization devoted to ideas worth spreading.
Initiated as a four-day conference in California, 30 years ago, TED has since grown to support multiple initiatives. The two annual TED Conferences invite the world's leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes or less. Many of these talks are then made available free of charge, at TED.com. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Sal Khan and Daniel Kahneman. The annual TED Conference takes place each spring in Vancouver, British Columbia. TED's media initiatives include TED.com, where new TED Talks are posted daily in different languages. In largely attended programme, the speakers and performers for the 2019 edition of TEDx Rajinder Park included Najibullah Adamji, Statistical Officer, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, Govt. of India, who spoke on Artificial Intelligence: Dr. Manu Arora, Psychiatrist GMC Jammu who delved on ill effects of video games etc. on children; Anish, Neuro-Linguistic Programming Master Trainer; Dr. Milan Sharma, Faculty at IMFA, University of Jammu who spoke on importance of Art & Culture in life; Mrs. Rajni Sehgal, Superintendent of Prisons Jammu & Juhie, Radio Jockey, 92.7 Big FM. Rajni Sehgal talked on the problems women face at work places with a motivating message to them. RJ Juhie shared her research experience in child abuse which too is a burning issue in the society.
Proceedings were conducted by Preet Kour and vote of thanks presented by the Lead Organizer Shivani Vaid Sharma.
