HC seeks final decision from Govt | Gulmarg land lease | | Early Times Report Srinagar, May 28: The J&K High Court has sought a final decision from the state government regarding the lease of state property in Gulmarg. A division bench of the court comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Rashid Ali Dar while hearing a PIL, after perusal of the compliance report filed by the state in which it has been submitted that the matter is considered by the committee in meeting dated April 3, 2019 under the chairmanship of Advisor to the Governor which is now pending with the Law Department, directed the matter be finally considered and the decision taken be placed before the court within six weeks. The CEO of Gulmarg Development Authority assured the bench that urgent steps with regard to installation of dustbins, as directed earlier by the court, are underway and that the report in this regard will be submitted before next date of hearing. The court further directed CEO, GDA, to inform that Municipal Committee Magam, Kunzer and Tangmarg to be concerned with the maintenance and cleanliness of the route from Srinagar to Gulmarg. The court also directed to Director Urban Local Bodies Kashmir to submit a report in this regard and also inform the court about the steps taken for disposal of plastic waster and garbage collection. |
