5/29/2019 9:15:13 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, May 29: President Civil society for development of Jammu and Kashmir(CSD JK) Puneet singh jamwal hailed Jammu and Kashmir government for adding a fleet of electric buses by J&K State Road Transport Corporation in Jammu , costing nearly 1 crore this zero pollution and zero emission bus will not only add grace to twin capital cities but also considerably lower the pollution level to some extent and once fully charged for about 2 to 6 hours electric buses are said to cover around 150 kilometers. This smart, sustainable, safe, and comfortable public transportation is the key to addressing the challenges of pollution and congestion, which our cities face today. This smart electric bus is likely to encourage people to leave their cars and bikes at home and thus make cities greener and pollution free. It could change the way we commute and the quality of air we inhale.
CSD chief further said that more and more such electric busses are required to cope up with the carbon pollution .As whole world is moving towards renewable sources of energy and so we in particularly have to find more and more cheaper ways to reduce the toxic gases in air .Right now, electric engines are more expensive than combustion engines . Puneet singh jamwal added that Govt. should focus on reducing the cost of hybrid /electric vehicles so that they can come under the range of common man , once these vehicles fully replace combustion engine engines ,the problem of pollution due to vehicles will subside. He also applauded the efforts of Sh .Amit Sharma special secretary to transport department for making Jammu one of the state having a fleet of electric transport and thus switching to sustainable transportation including zero emission smart electric buses to protect our passengers from the negative effects of harmful pollutants.
