| Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 17 animals rescued | | | Early Times Report
kathua, May 29: In continuation to strict measures to thwart conspiracies of bovine smugglers, a team headed by Ravinder Singh SDPO Border alongwith SI Ashwani Incharge Police Post Marheen succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid and rescued 17 bovine animals, seized two trucks.
Police team during checking at Sanjhi Morh intercepted two trucks bearing registration numbers JK02AT-4287 & JK02BP-7383 illegally carrying bovine animals. In this process , Police saved 17 bovine animals.
Police seized the vehicle and registered a case FIR no. FIR 100/2019 under section 188 RPC , 3 PCA Act. Further investigation into the case is going on. Kathua Police is striving hard to eradicate bovine smuggling menace from society and appeal people of the area to come forward and share any information about bovine smuggling and cooperate with Police for the cause. |
