Jammu, June 11: Talking about constructive and pragmatic approach, centering around all round development of children, evolving and preparing them as globally competent citizens are few agendas around which our system of education revolves. Keeping this relativity in mind, today the precincts our school were brimming with inquisitions on 'Child Psychology' when Sapna Nair, Principal Arwachin International School, Delhi as a resource person make conversant with the psychology that the children of this era possess. The focal point of the workshop was the discussion regarding the developmental stages of children and how can we pacify them by engaging into experiential learning. She also stressed on the omnifarious roles being expected of a teacher by a student. Proceeding , she abreasted the teachers about the latest trends available in the educational sector and how to amalgamate those trends in the teaching. She also apprised everyone about different generations of children namely Magpie, Gen X and Gen Y. The workshop was illuminating as it has broadened the vistas of teachers. Commenting on the same Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice-Chairperson of the school said that now the learners are not the passive ones, they look forward to teachers to quench their thirst for knowledge. So teachers need to act CEO of their classes where in they create ample space for creativity and innovation. |
