PSS holds monthly literary meeting

Jammu, June 16: Punjabi Sahitik Sabha, R S Pura held its monthly literary meeting at Simbal Camp, Jammu.
Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, former President Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu & well known writer, S. Amar Singh Kuka, acting President, PLS & well known Ghazal writer and Jang S. Verman, well known artist & columnist on art & culture, jointly presided over the meeting. Well known Punjabi writers and intellectuals attended the meeting. Rajveer Singh presented his research paper on the topic of 'Bharat Vich Narivaad' which reflected various aspects of the condition and position of women of the country. The paper also discussed in detail of the measures and steps taken as well as movement and rules passed to improve their condition. An interactive discussion on the aspects of the paper was held.
A Kavi Darbar was conducted in which Manraj Singh, J P Singh Azad, Sharan Star, Balwinder Singh Deep, Balwinder Singh Jammu, Rahi Simbalpuria, Swami Antar Nirav, Bachan Bharti, Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Amar Singh Kuka and Jang S. Verman recited their poetry on various subjects reflecting the picture of the society, relationships and beauty of Nature. Jagdish Singh recited a lyric on the city's life styles. The participants gave their views on the poetry presented in the programmme.
Others who attended the meeting included Maan Kaur, Bhajan Kaur, Narmeet Kaur, Narinder Singh, Bimlesh Kaur and Neha.
