| Drug peddlers arrested, 6 gm heroin recovered | | |
Samba, June 18: Continuing its drive against the drug menace on the directions of Dr Koshal Sharma JKPS SSP Samba, District Police Samba has arrested one drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police station Bari Brahmana and recovered 06 gms Heroin (Chitta).
A Police Party of P/S Bari Brahmana headed by Inspector Darshan Singh, SHO P/S Bari Brahmana under the supervision of Sh. Sunil Kesar, SDPO Bari Brahmana during Vehicle checking Naka at Sarore Adda, Bari Brahmana intercepted a pedestrian who tried to run on seeing Police Party. But alert cops swiftly apprehended him and during frisking of said person 06 gm heroine (Chitta) was recovered from his possession. The contraband item seized on the spot.
The accused person identified as Yaqoob Hussain alias Yukka, Lambhu son of Bashir Ahmed resident of Gujjar Basti, Sarore Adda, Bari Brahmana.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 72/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
