  Jammu, June 18: The School   of   Education,   Central   University   of   Jammu   under   Pandit   Madan   Mohan   Malviya National Mission on Teachers  and Teaching   in collaboration with Department of Education, University   of   Jammu   conducted   a   Round   Table   Conference,   to   involve   all   the stakeholders of J&K for building a dialogue and democratize the discourse on Draft National Education Policy 2019 issued by the MHRD.  The broader objective of this conference was to rethink on Education Policy and   to collaborate, to take note of different views, to establish dialogue with different stakeholders on NEP and to extend recommendations to the MHRD, Govt. of India. The conference had extensive representation of stakeholders across the State. Teacher Educators from State and Central Universities of J&K ; Director, School Education, J&K; Secretary Higher Education, J&K; Joint Directors SIE, J&K and Other Administrators of the state have participated in this conference. In the inaugural session of the conference Prof.(Dr.) Renu Nanda (Dean, Faculty of Education , University of Jammu) and Dr. Dharmendra Singh (Programme Coordinator, PMMMNMTT)   welcomed the guest of honour  Prof. ManojDhar   (Hon'ble   Vice   Chancellor,   University   of   Jammu),     Prof.   Ashok   Aima   (ViceChancellor, CU Jammu), Prof. Riyaz Punjabi, Former VC, University of Kashmir, and otheresteemed guests. The conference had taken up in three technical sessions based on the themes namely technological & vocational education, higher education and school education and each session was headed by a keynote speaker and a moderator for further discussions with panelists and participants.   |
