Show non-performers their right place: Munish to people
6/19/2019 12:07:16 AM
Early Times Report
Jammu, June 18: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Tuesday said that the forthcoming Assembly elections are a litmus test for the people of Jammu.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas, Munish told the people that they should utilize their vote in a proper way rather than casting it in a favour of candidates, who appear in election season only. "We need to elect such people who value our vote and want to serve the people. I have decided to contest the forthcoming Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency and I hope my people won't let me down," Munish said.
He asked people to evaluate the performance of their former MLAs and then decide do they deserve another chance? "Ask yourselves, have the elected representatives lived upto your expectations? Have they come to you after winning the elections? If I win I will try my best to resolve the issues which touch your skin," he added.
Munish said, "We cannot keep on blaming others for our woes forever. If we want to help ourselves then we should prove to the so-called seasoned leaders that lip serve and slogans are not enough. The dismal performance of elected representatives has disappointed one and all. Time has come for us to show them their right place."
