Jammu, June 18: Many people believe that if a similar incident would have taken place in Jammu region no one would have taken a note of it. "The officials involved in the act would have been given plum postings as a reward for using power against the civilians," said an analyst.
He said, "It has been precedence in Jammu that the police official who uses his might against the poor civilians and misuses his position is encouraged by his bosses and is given a free hand to mint money and harass the common people." |
