Poonch, June 19: Many brows have been raised over recent promotions in police department. People say illiterate policemen have been promoted to ruin the force.
Some examples of such uneducated promoted police officials are found in traffic police who are incompetent to fill a challan form and seek the help of the Personal Security Officers (PSOs) even Special Police Officers (SPO) to fill the challan. Not only in traffic police, there are many promoted ASIs, even some Sub Inspectors in Jammu and Kashmir police who are useless and take help of their sub ordinates. Locals, drivers and other political and social leaders have appealed to Governor Satya Pal Malik to take notice of the issue. SSP Poonch, Ramesh Angral assured strict action. |
