Early Times Report
Jammu, June 19: Despite being part of the government for five years BJP is now shamelessly expressing its concern over lack of basic amenities in Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment where party's stalwart Kavinder Gupta was MLA for nearly five years. Gupta served as Speaker as well as Deputy Chief Minister in the coalition government headed by Mehbooba Mufti.
As countdown for the assembly elections has started after completion of the Lok Sabha polls, BJP has started befooling the people by highlighting non availability of basic amenities in different parts of Gandhi Nagar assembly segment.
Astonishing instead of accepting their own failure BJP leaders are promises to solve problems of the residents of Gandhi Nagar despite the fact MLA of this constituency was belonged to BJP only.
BJP's duplicity came on the fore on Tuesday when party MLC Ch Vikram Randhawa on conducted extensive tour of Ajit Nagar and Upper Gadigarh areas of Gandhi Nagar constituency along with Yudhvir Singh Corporator.
Randhawa met number of delegations which raised the problems being faced by them. Many of them raised issues of public concern and said that both the areas lack basic amenities despite part of Gandhi Nagar assembly segment. They raised the issue of erratic drinking water supply and worst power infrastructure besides dilapidated condition of roads, lanes and drains.
Randhawa assured the people to fulfill all their demands within the shortest possible time as per the priority.
