Hurriyat desperate for talks but Shah unlikely to give importance to anti-national outfits
6/26/2019 12:17:54 AM
Early Times Report
Jammu, June 25: Notwithstanding the desperation being shown by separatist groups including Hurriyat Conference to hold dialogue, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is unlikely to give any importance to these anti-national groups.
Instead of legitimizing these anti-national outfits by accepting their offers of talks Amit Shah is going to give importance to security related issues ahead of the annual pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath.
Credible sources said that leadership of Hurriyat Conference through some mediators was trying to get response for Union Home because leadership was facing pressure from those leaders who have been lodged in different jails in case of terror funding or minting money in the name of so-called movement. "As of now Union Home Ministry is not giving any importance to Hurriyat leadership because most of the leaders have been exposed before the Centre after NIA conducted raids", sources revealed and added Union Home Ministry was very much aware that Hurriyat leadership was almost finished and holding dialogue at this point of time would give them new life.
Amit Shah, who is reaching Kashmir on Wednesday, will discuss the prevailing security scenario of the State with Governor Satya Pal Malik.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit J&K for two days beginning June 26. Earlier, Amit Shah was scheduled to visit the Valley for a day on June 30.
The visit has been advanced due to the home minister's busy schedule connected with the Union Budget. The Home Minister will chair a high-level security meeting in Srinagar during his visit. He will also address BJP workers and Panchayat members separately during this visit.
Amit Shah will pay obeisance at the Shri Amarnathji Shrine during his visit. This will be his first visit to J&K after he took over as the home minister of the country.
