Sanitation, drainage biggest problem in Mattoo, Friends Colony

JAMMU, June 26: The area of greater Jammu which include many colonies like Friends Colony, Mattoo Colony, Kanthu Nagar, Channi Kamala, Village Deeli and other areas facing the sanitation and drainage problem right from the beginning.
The inhabitants of the area while talking to Early Times said that number of delegation have met higher officials off and on in last ten years, but everything goes to the deaf ears.
Imran Rouf the resident of Mattoo Colony said that the previous BJP and Congress Govt. have failed to mitigate their problems and they are looking towards the new dispensations who will solve their burning problems.
Anita House wife said that the drainage system in their area is so bad that they often move out of their house with covered face. She further added that so many times she has approached the previous as well as the present Councillor of the area for any kind of solution to this burning issue, but every time she return disappointed. BJP as well as Congress leaders only doing lip service to the people and made hollow promises which they never fulfilled.
Naman Singh and Parshotam said that our area is newly developed area which falls under Gandhi Nagar Constituency sans drainage and sanitation which is the core issue of the residents of the area.
Meanwhile Anil Sahu, Darshan and Ram Kishore also raised the issue of garbage littering all over the area. The garbage is dumped on the road side on many places which creating problem for the residents as well as far the passers by. The all requested that the garbage all along the roadside and canal should be lifted and the drain should get cleaned on regular basis.
