Amit Shah's Impact: Mehbooba takes U turn on Saffron Jersey controversy
7/2/2019 11:55:18 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, July 2: Union Home Minister Amit Shah's assertive policies on Kashmir have started yielding results and this is evident from U turn of former Chief Minister and president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti.
Former Chief Minister, who has attained credentials of creating unnecessary controversies, has mocked Team India after losing match with England. As all supporters of Pakistani Team were praying for the victory of Team India in World Cup match against England, they could not control their anger against Team India after England won the crucial match.
Mehbooba Mufti tweeted that India's orange jersey is the reason behind the Men in Blue's loss against England in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at the Edgbaston cricket ground on June 30. She stated in the tweet that people can call her superstitious but she thinks that the change in the jersey colour is the reason behind the loss.
After her tweet created uproar in the whole nation, Mehbooba Mufti realized that Amit Shah is Home Minister of the country. She again tweeted after sometime stating that her tweet was all in good humour.
The Men in Blue sported their away jersey for the first time in the World Cup against England. The colour of the jersey triggered controversies all over the country. It was claimed to have been 'saffronised' and was condemned by SP and Congress leaders who suspected politics behind it. They think the reason for the Indian team wearing orange is its similarity to saffron which is associated with the ruling party BJP.
Credible sources said that it was all due to advise of some matured persons that she took U turn on Saffron Jersey tweet because her tweet had given a message that that she was more concerned about Pakistan's team.
