Regional parties, Cong never embraced Ladakh: Raman Suri
7/4/2019 11:23:11 PM
JAMMU, July 4: Accusing Congress and all regional parties in Jammu and Kashmir of never embracing Ladakh for its overall development, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) state executive member, Raman Suri today said ever since independence these parties treated this vast region as an extension of Kashmir division and ignored it completely. This was the reason health facilities, educational institutions, infrastructures or transparent and an effective governance never made its presence in this cold desert forcing people and students to fly to other far off destinations to make their fortune. These political outfits like Congress, National Conference (NC) or People's Democratic Party (PDP) always ignored this strategically located region and deprived it of universities, technical colleges, indoor stadiums, all weather roads and other infrastructure but it's because of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the centre and its appointed heads that right decisions like that of granting Ladakh divisional status were taken and now the same is being strengthened by creating posts only to be filled in subsequently.
Hailing the decision of State Administrative Council (SAC) for creating 470 posts include twelve that of directors, four chief engineers, four joint directors, chief conservator of forest, regional wildlife warden and other senior positions, Raman Suri said that this could become possible only after NDA-I and NDA-II made its presence felt in the region in a big way. Once these new administrative unit become fully operational people, he added will get their words done at the doorsteps and they won't have to shuttle anywhere else.
