Mayor JMC visits Gandhi Nagar Hospital

Jammu, July 4: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta, visited Govt. Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu along with Superintendent of the Hospital Dr. Chander Parkash, to review the functioning of the hospital. During the visit, Mayor enquired about the functioning of various faculties of the hospital and inspected RBSK unit, DEIC unit, emergency laboratory section, indoor block labour room, dialysis unit, children ward, SNCU, pain management and palliative care ward, physiotherapy unit , radiology section, tobacco sensation centre, all the OPDs and parks of the hospital. He expressed his satisfaction overall working of the hospital and appreciated the work of the Medical Superintendent and the staff of the hospital. Issue of erratic power supply was also discussed and he assured all his cooperation for upgradation of hospital facilities. He enquired the new building of the hospital and was informed that building has been taken over by the Medical College.
He suggested the administration of hospital to have frequent meeting with the representative of the public and various NGO's to further improve the hospital. He interacted with patients who had operated in the hospital and also admitted patients.
He assured to provide 100 flowers along with flower pots to this hospital to be displaced in the hospital to further add to the beauty and better environment to the hospital. He suggested to plant sheddy trees during the forth coming rainy season. He appeals to the people of the area to visit hospital and denote with open heart for the sack of hospital development and for the health care of the poor patients. He also assured to issue instructions for the concerned for removing the encroachment surrounding the hospital boundaries and for cleanliness of the surrounding drains for the hospital.
