| Several roads damaged due to landslides | | Rain brings respite from intensive heat | | Early Times Report
Doda; Jul 4: Various parts of Jammu providence recieved rain on Thursday afternoon, bringing respite from the scorching heat. According to reports, from last few days Chenab Valley temperature was recorded between 35-40 where as Jammu 42-46 degree Celsius. Though cold winds and rains in entire Chenab valley and the day temperature fell down. People of Chenab valley feel relaxed after rain was witnessed Thursday afternoon and increases the water level of Chenab River. Heavy rainfall damages roads at several stretches thus compounding miseries of the people in Doda district. Thousands of passengers on NHW-244 at Thathri have been affected for more than 4 hours after the road stretch was damaged by the rainfall where hundreds of vehicles were stranded on Thathri. After the hectic efforts of Ababeel Volunteers for 4 hours, road was restored for the traffic movement. |
