Jammu, July 5: The traffic wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday ordered departmental enquiry against the special police officer and a selection grade constable for accepting a bribe from a tempo driver in this winter capital of the state. The action from the higher authorities was initiated soon after a video of traffic SPO sitting inside the tempo, demanding, accepting bribe went viral on social media. However, SSP Traffic, Jammu City, Joginder Singh, late evening issued an order saying departmental enquiry against the traffic men. The order read that on July 5, a viral video on social media shot at Fourth Tawi Bridge showed the SPO Sanjay Sharma boarding the tempo and allegedly demanded the bribe from the driver and thereafter the SPO de-boarded from the vehicle. |
