KPs caution Govt against hobnobing of fringe elements with Hurriyat on return
7/6/2019 12:23:03 AM
Early Times Report
Jammu, July 5: Kashmiri Pandits today cautioned the Union Government against any return move of displaced Pandits without taking the community into confidence.
The displaced Pandits have also cautioned the Government against the fringe elements and some self styled people hobnobbing with separatist Hurriyat leaders on the issue without having any mandate from the community and said that any decision taken without consultation of members of the community will boomerang.
The migrants have warned that no decision should be thrust on them after hobnobing with some self styled community activists among whom some are non migrants also and hence they cannot take decision on behalf of displaced people who are the real victims of terrorism.
The frontal organisations of Kashmiri Pandits including Panun Kashmir, All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference Kashmiri Pandit Conference, Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, etc have said that any decision taken by a handful of people with Hurriyat is unacceptable to KPs.
They said it is Hurriyat who on behest of Pakistan forced the mass exodus of the community by resorting to selective killings.
The KP organisations made it clear that return and rehabilitation should fulfil the geo- political aspirations of the community and no return is possible till there is a guarantee of retention after silencing the last gun.
The KP bodies while maintaining that they have every claim on Kashmir said but there cannot be any compromise on basic issue. Government of India should not do the same blunder which previous Congress Governments.
The migrants said any decision on return of community should be taken by taking all pros and cons into consideration.
