Degree College at Joura Khurd or Halaran demanded
7/6/2019 11:52:43 PM
Doda, July 6: The Public of Tehsil Kahara & Tehsil Chirralla, District Doda through Sarpanch Halqa Panchyat Joura Kalan appeal to His- Excellency the Governor of the State, Satya Pal Malik, to sanction a degree college for Tehsil Kahara & Tehsil Chiralla, the most backward & remote Tehsils of Inderwal & Bhadarwah Constituencies of the State & select the site of the college at some central place between Hr. Secondary School Malanoo (Inderwal constituency) & Hr. Secondary School Halaran or Joura Khurd (Bhadarwah Constituency) which is accessible to all the students of both Tehsils. Anil Kumar, Sarpanch Halqa Panchyat Joura Kalan said that many government employees and Army personnel of these Tehsils have kept their families at Head Quarter Thathri for the education of their children.
This has caused great scarcity of accommodation & the rent rates are higher than even those at Jammu, Doda or Kishtwar and how can the poor students who want to continue their higher studies, can afford such high rents in addition to other essential expenses. So it is requested to the Governor of the State to kindly sanction Degree College for Tehsil Kahara & Tehsil Chiralla, at some central place between Higher Secondary Malanoo & Hr. Sec. School Halaran/ Joura Khurd in the larger interest of the poor public of these remote & backward Tehsils of the state.
