| Patwari placed under suspension in Rajouri, enquiry ordered | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, July 6: Deputy commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad here has ordered suspension of a patwari and has initiated an enquiry as a telephonic conversation has gone viral on social media in which the said government official can be heard discussing about monetary considerations for the process of attestation of mutation.
In the telephonic conversation, it can be heard that patwari Abdul Gafoor posted in patwar halqa Gambhir Mughlan is Speaking about the process of attestation of mutation with a caller in which monetary consideration is discussed. It can be inferred that the caller could have met him earlier and has recorded the conversation on his mobile.
In the initial probe, it has come to the fore that the conversation is few months old but has got leaked out very recently.
The act of government official appears, prima facie against laid down Rules and norms under the Jammu and Kashmir Classification, Control and Appeal Rules, 1956 and same has been viewed seriously.
Taking note of it, Deputy commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad has ordered suspension of Patwari Gambhir Mughlan, Abdul Ghafoor and has attached him in the office of Tehsildar Rajouri.
Alongside, an enquiry has also been initiated and enquiry team comprising of Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri and Tehsildar Manjakote has been framed to probe the matter and submit a report within one week.
Meanwhile, District Vigilance Officer(ADC) Rajouri Shri Sher Singh said the veracity of the voice call shall be looked into and the enquiry shall be taken to a logical conclusion. |
