Administration failed miserably to address problem of people: Madan
7/8/2019 10:19:40 PM
Early Times Report
Akhnoor, July 8: Former Member of Parliament Madan Lal Sharma held the public meeting of Block Congress workers at Akhnoor. The meeting was attended by hundreds of congress workers of the block. While speaking in the meeting Madan Lal Sharma said that the budget presented by the government is a total failure and it has failed on the hopes of the middle class. The budget will burn a deep hole in the pockets of the people. The government has a failed economic policy and is just relying on increasing the prices of petrol & diesel to generate revenue at the cost of the middle class people of India. Further increasing of the excise duty on Petrol & Diesel will result in price rise on all the items of daily use which will further increase the already high inflation rate.
Sharma also said that the central government has imposed Income tax on the disability pension of the Ex-Armymen which shows that they are least concerned about the soldiers who have made sacrifices for our nation. He demanded that this should be immediately rolled back.
He also said that many problems are being faced by the people of Akhnoor and the administration has failed miserably to address the problem of the people. The people of the akhnoor spoke about the daily issues which need to be addressed by the administration but are being ignored due to non-presence of an elected representative of the area.
Speaking in the meeting Satish Sharma said that dogri is our language and all of us take pride in speaking dogri. So dogri should be included in the schools as a language so that our children and connect with our culture and take pride in the rich dogra heritage.
