| Police seized 134 kilogram of Poppy Straw | | | Early Times Report
jammu, July 8: Continuing efforts to curb the menace of drug peddling and drug addiction, On the directions of SSP Poonch Sh.Ramesh Angral Police along with 16 RR Army recovered 134 kg of poppy straw at Poshana on Mughal road in three different incidents from the peddlers.
In the first incident one swift car bearing registration No.3993 PB10BC intercepted which was driven by one Pawandeep Singh s/o Kulwant Singh r/o Shajjad Teh. and Distt. LUDHIANA from whose possession 26 kg of Poppy straw recovered.
In the 2nd incident on the same day one Truck bearing registration NO.PB13Y 9298 intercepted which was driven by Lakhbir Singh s/o Bhakshish Singh r/o Mallerkotla Distt. Sangroor Punjab from whose possession 33 kg of Poppy Straw recovered.
In the 3rd incident one Truck bearing registration NO.PB13AL 5532 was intercepted which is driven by one Riyaz Khan s/o Nassir Khan r/o Mallerkotla Dist Sangroor Punjab from whose possession 75kg of poppy straw recovered.
All the three vehicles, poppy straw seized and accusec arrested.
In this Case FIR NO.169/19,170/19and171/19 u/a 8/15NDPS Act registered in Police station Surankote and investigation started. |
