Rajouri, July 8: Police in Rajouri foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued bovines loaded in the vehicle.
A team of police headed by Incharge police post Chatyar Chingus, SI MD Khan laid a night Naka checking point at Kallar chowk and intercepted a truck JK02BQ 6277 driven by Sajan Sinha son of Hari Kumar Sinha resident of Gajan Dalai, Sunchar Assam.
During frisking of vehicle, it was found loaded with 16 bovine animals while one other had died due to congestion.
All the bovine animals were rescued from the vehicle while driver of truck alongwith his associate namely Mohammad Latief son of Babu resident of Miran Sahib Jammu were arrested on spot.
A case under sections 188, 295A RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered in police station. |
