Beware of leaders who thrive on deception: Munish to people
7/9/2019 12:30:00 AM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 8: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Monday said that leaders who believe in deception can no longer mislead the common masses by making false promises.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas, Munish said, "Politicians can no longer take the common people for a ride as the times have changed. If they (politicians) really want to survive they will have to perform and deliver as mere rhetoric and lip service are not going to help their cause."
"The politicians during all these years have just raised hollow slogans of development but on ground they have not done much," said, Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency.
He said, "Politicians need to answer the people what they have done during all these years and why they failed to deliver. Dilapidated roads, choked drains and stinking nallahs in most colonies in Jammu mock at the elected representatives and their hollow claims."
Munish said, "I have come to my people with a hope that they will endorse my vision to lay the foundation of new Jammu and will support me to bring the much needed change. We have to wake up and send a message to the traditional politicians that politics is not only about power it's about working for the development of people and standing by them whenever the need arises."
