| MNP appeals centre, ECI to remove M-Form system | | | Jammu, July 8: Manvadhikar National Party J&K President Sanjay Dhar, M.l. Bhat State vice President, Ashok Koul State organizer & its State Incharge Vishal Jotshi today in a joint statement appealed central government and Election Commission of India to immediately remove M form system in Kashmiri Pandit Migrant voting system, in exile as due to this tedious and lengthy process.
Major percentage of KP voters are deprived of their democratic rights and adopt a simple prompt and online system like provisions so that they may be able to exercise their voting rights without any hitch. All the top leaders said that during the polling for Anantnag Srinagar and Baramulla Lok Sabha seats instant many people were seen on polling booths in Jammu and other areas for voting but they complained that their names did not figure in voter lists despite filling M forms and there was hue and cry over all on booths. All the leaders appealed central government and election commission of India to take this issue seriously and direct the concerned authorities to work out a plan of migrant voters in such a way that they are able to exercise their franchise in exile in a simple and normal way and delete this M form system which has hampered the complete voting system of Kashmiri Pandits in exile. These leaders have warned State and central government remove m form system before assembly elections otherwise Manvadhikar National Party J&K will come on roads. |
