JKMEF demands redressal of demands

Jammu, July 9: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) was today held in the office chamber of Federation under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan State President JKMEF Jammu.
In the meeting various burning problems were discussed pertaining to the employees of Health Department, which included to conduct DPC at par with Govt. Medical College/Drug & Food Control Organization on the pattern of Executive Order passed by the Administrative Department till the SRO-20 (Recruitment Rules) is modified.
They further said that all the promotions should be made strictly in accordance to the seniority, Departmental Promotions (DPC) of all cadres which is supposed to be done twice in a year but it is not done even after the lapse of two years. Employees unanimously raise the voice and said it should be done without further delay.
They also demanded to upgrade the posts of Pharmacists as Sr. Pharmacist, Sup. Pharmacist, Head Pharmacist, Block Pharmacy Officers and District Pharmacy Officer, insurance certificate and registration certificate for ambulances, amendment of SRO 20 dated 24-02-1992 which is pending since more than 27 years be implemented without further delay, over time allowance to all such categories (Male/Female) be given to the employees who are performing 12 hours night duty as per labour laws beside others.
Those who were present and addressed the meeting included Neelam Kumari and Sapana Gupta President& General Secretary Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Workers Association Ch. Jarnail Singh and Kamaljeet Sawhni, President & General Secretary Jammu Kashmir Govt. Pharmacist Association, Mohd Saleem, President Clerical Employees Association beside others.
