KATHUA, July 10: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma reviewed the progress of ongoing projects in Billawar here at a meeting of senior functionaries of key departments.
Several developmental issues concerning Billawar were discussed threadbare in the meeting. The Div Com exhorted upon the executing agency to complete the widening work on Sukrala road at the earliest to benefit that locals and tourists visiting the area.
He also directed early completion of the work of PDD work shop at Phinter to mitigate power woes of people at large.
The Div Com also paid obeisance at the Sukrala Mata Shrine and interacted with pilgrims to get first hand information about facilities being provided to them at the Shrine and in its vicinity. He also issued instructions to provide improved facilities to the pilgrims coming from within and outside the State.
Earlier, the Divisional Commissioner participated in a plantation drive launched by Billawar Forest Division to celebrate Van Mahotsav. ADC Billawar, Joginder Singh Rai, ACD Kathua, Sukhpal Singh, DFO Billawar and other concerned officers were present during the meeting. |
