Poonch, July 10: Rising level of corruption in PWD department results in horrible condition of roads in entire Surankote and Mendhar Tehsil.
Locals of the area while talking to Early Times, said " PWD has become a defunct institution in Surankote and Mendhar as JE's, AEE and other technical officials of the department main focus is to earn commission, least bothering about public suffering". Demanding a vigilance inquiry against PWD Surankote and Mendhar , locals appeal to governor administration to check each and every work of PWD Surankote and Mendhar which completed to verify its authenticity on ground. They said that huge compromise has been made in quality of various works just to earn commission. In Mendhar also, people expressed their displeasure against PWD and said that PWD has become a defunct institution due to rising level of corruption. Bad roads, poor quality works on various government projects shows that earning commission is the sole motto of every PWD official and only a deep vigilance inquiry can bring to book those official who played foul with state exchequer. |
