Tehsildar Bunjwah holds public darbar at remotest Kither area

Kishtwar, July 15: As a part of "Administration at door steps" initiative, Tehsildar Bunjwah, Shohab Latief visited the remotest Kither Panchayat situated at more than 100 km from District Headquarter Kishtwar with poor and no road connectivity basically comprises of poor Gujjar and Bakerwal population.
As per the details available with "Early Times", in an endeavor to connect Administration to the people at grass root level, Tehsildar Bunjwah along with Sajad Hussain Patwari Halqa and other revenue officials of Tehsil Bunjwah held Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Kither, one of the remotest region of Tehsil Bunjwah having boundaries with Himalayan Mountains , Paddar and Bhalessa.
During the public darbar , various deputations from Buddhar, Manno, and other parts of panchayat kither put forth their demands. The public of Kither informed that since 2008 only 8 km rough cutting of Patnazi Kither road has been completed; Compensation of land falling under road alignment has yet not been disbursed among the land owners. Defunct and absenteeism culture in Government schools of Kither including High School Kither, Negligence in Health sector, restoration of electricity, restoration of old pipe lines and completion of both projects was also highlighted. Locals alleged that black marketing of governemnt ration is at its peak in the area and a least share of ration is disbursed among poor consumers of the area. Non- payment of MGNREGA wages since 2016-17 and various other issues were also raised by public.
Tehsildar Bunjwah Shohab Latief gave a patient hearing on all issues and assured redressal of genuine demands.
On the occasion various Schedule Tribes Certificate, Income Certificates, PRC Certificate and other documents were handed over to public.
People thanked Tehsildar Bunjwah for visiting Kither and said that it's first time in history since 1999,that a Tehsildar with powers of Magistrate visited Kither.
Meanwhile Tehsildar Bunjwah instructed public to approach his office anytime for redressal of their demands.
