Jammu, July 16: Charge-sheeted for misappropriation of funds, as Block Development Officer (BDO) in district Jammu, the tainted officer is moving from pillar to post to get parachuted as Director Rural Development Jammu.
Highly placed sources in Secretariat informed the name of tainted officer figures in penal of proposed officers for the post of Director RDD Jammu. "Since the day, the post fell vacant following transfer of Director General, Rehana Batul, who has been posted as Managing Director, JKTDC on July 7, 2019, many others who were eyeing on the post, started hectic efforts to grab the post", sources informed and added that however, with active support from administrative department, the blue got himself entered in the penal.
"However, the final call will be taken at advisor level, but till that entire exercise has been completed to project him the best option", they said and added that the directorate of Rural Development has been in headlines, following registration of FIRs against top officer in the beginning of this year.
"It was being presumed that a damage control exercise will be done by the top boss of the directorate, but the outgoing Director General, too promoted nepotism, and allegedly surrendered before the well established nexus of the corrupt officers", they said and added that now the proposed officer for the post, had been charge-sheeted, an enquiry over misappropriation of funds in 2003.
"Apart from this another officer, who is an Additional Secretary rank officer, also trying twist the process in his favour", they said and added that had been suspended during his posting as BDO for misappropriation of funds. |
