Despite attachment, 'erring' clerk calling the shots for 4 month | | | Early Times Report
Rajauri, July 18: Despite having been attached with the office of the Assistant Commissioner Development in Sunderbani here, one allegedly erring clerk has been calling the shots. Officials said following public complaints against Head Clerk Ashok Kumar working in the office of Block Development Officer Sunderbani that his behavior with the public was not satisfactory, he was attached some four months ago. But since then, the allegedly erring officer continues to be working as the Head clerk from the office of the BDO. The locals said the failure of the government to initiate action against him has only emboldened him. "For the last four months he has taken us for a ride further and doesn't listen to us," the locals said. When contacted the BDO said Kumar couldn't be attached as he enjoys patronage of senior officials. Meanwhile the locals have appealed Governor SP Malik to look into the matter. |
