7/18/2019 11:06:26 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, July 18: The resident of Sundar Mohalla near warehouse Jammu blamed administration and civil body for hugely accumulated garbage in their area.
The residents said the leaders come here during elections, and the officers during VIP visits, "We spend our lives here and remain un-noticed for years, we find no place in government's developments plans", they complained.
The locals Suresh Kumar, Darshan Lal, Raj Kumari, Sandeep, Aman, Jagindro Devi, Rahul, Chaman Lal, Ram Lal Mehra, Ratan Lal and others informed a drain flows just in front of their houses and shops remains blocked all the time. "We have a garbage dumping site here, the JMC has provided a container also, but nobody bothers to remove the container filled with garbage", they said and added that most of the time the filthy water flows in front of our shops and our houses.
They said that once they met ex-MLA Kavinder Gupta, when he was speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, but he didn't pay any attention towards our issues. "Those having close proximity with Ex-MLA are still enjoying privilege. They go with problems and come with solutions while lesser mortals suffer", they said.
They said the park that connects with Tawi Bridge Bikram Chowk is full of garbage, but despite repeated complaints no one takes note. "There are several trucks of garbage dumped along the park, creating trouble for the local residents", they said.
