JuD chief, Hafiz Saeed in judicial custody
7/18/2019 11:43:46 PM

Is it a fake drama or real one when the counter Terrorism Department of Pakistan arrested Hafiz Saeed and sent him to judicial remand? Or is the step simply meant for keeping New Delhi in good humour? Mumbai terror attack mastermind and chief of banned JuD Hafiz Saeed was arrested on Wednesday by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Pakistan's Punjab province and sent to jail on judicial remand, officials said. Saeed, who has several cases pending against him, was travelling to Gujranwala from Lahore to appear before an anti-terrorism court when he was arrested, officials said. He has been sent to the high-security Kot Lakhpat Jail here on judicial remand, officials said.
Saeed-led Jamat-ud Dawa is believed to be the front organisation for the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) which is responsible for carrying out the 2008 Mumbai attacks that killed 166 people. The US Department of the Treasury has designated Saeed as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist, and the US, since 2012, has offered a USD 10 million reward for information that brings Saeed to justice. Killing two birds with one stone. This means that by arresting Saeed Pakistan has tried to keep the US happy and India in good humour. And if not anybody else the Punjab Government and its police are entitled to 10 million dollar award. And if it some true it means that Pakistan has been financially starved because of its ban on the Indian airspace .Pakistan would earn millions of rupees by keeping the its airspace open for its commercial planes .
What a joke? If Pakistan feels that it has pacified India it is wrong. India wants end of export of terror to India, especially to Jammu and Kashmir. But it has not done anything in this respect. Is action initiated against hafiz Saeed. And the US had initially demanded action against Saeed foir his role in 2008 Mumbai cases in which over 166 people were killed and both the Government and the private property worth crores of rupees had been lost.et Pakistan initiate action against other terrorists including Jaish-e-Mohammad Chief, Masood Azhar who has been quite active in various parts of the Kashmir valley and the February strike against the CRPF convoy was led by JeM actvists and in which 40 CRPF personnel were martyred. And Indias warplanes struck JeM training camps in Balakote and surrounding area. He should be first arrested and sent to Jail.
