Change necessary for things to work: Munish to people
7/18/2019 11:51:25 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, July 18: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Thursday called upon the people to think about their priorities before casting their vote in anyone's favour.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas, Munish said, "We have been repeating the mistake of choosing the representatives on the basis of their party affiliations and political ideologies for the past seventy years. We need to rectify this mistake and elect our representatives on the basis of their performance."
"Time has come to call spade a spade and tell the traditional politicians that they can't rule us forever. We have to tell them at their face that they have failed to deliver and change is necessary for things to work," said, Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency.
He said, "I have come to my people with a hope that they will endorse my vision and would strengthen my hands to lay the foundation of new Jammu. I have taken the initiative by deciding to contest the elections, now it's in your hands to make me win. I cannot do anything alone. I need your support to challenge the hegemony of the politicians, who have been ruling us for the past so many years."
Munish said, "Areas which I have visited during the past one and a half month during my mass contact programme lack basic amenities and people have been left in lurch. I assure my people that if I win the elections I will resolve the issues which confront them in their day-to-day lives."
