Massacre of trees in Sundarbani school, Govt orders probe 7/20/2019 12:39:19 AM AB Sharma Early Times Report Rajauri, July 19: Taking cognizance of the report published by Early Times that the majestic trees at Govt Middle school Nahoti Lower Hathal have been cut down without any formal approval from the concerned authorities in the district, the government has ordered a probe into the matter. Sources said the district administration has asked the concerned Zonal Education Officer to explain as to why the trees were cut without any approval and why the education department has been silent. Officials said the XEO would have to file a response in three days. The locals had previously told Early Times that the Zonal Education Officer was informed about the matter but that no action was taken.
