7/20/2019 12:42:18 AM
Early Times Report
Jammu, July 19: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad is going to convene meeting of party leaders at Jammu on Saturday on the directions of the party high command. But instead of adopting genuine method to call leaders for the meeting, Azad has adopted pick and choose policy and called his blue-eyed boys in the meeting.
Credible sources said that many mass base Congress leaders, who have following in their respective areas, were ignored and some irrelevant leaders who have no base among common people have been especially called for the crucial meeting to be held to start preparations for the assembly elections and get report about poor performance in the Parliament elections.
Credible sources said that meeting will be held at 10 am on Saturday but many senior leaders with mass base have been ignored about the meeting but some other leaders, known for their proximity with Azad, have been given invitation for the meeting.
Last week, Azad had convened similar meeting at Srinagar in which only a few leaders were called and some party leaders have called the meeting as flop show. Pick and choose policy adopted by Azad in the meeting has evoked strong reaction from genuine workers who have been working with dedication in the party.
Credible sources said that Congress high command has directed Ghulam Nabi Azad to hold meetings in different areas of J&K in connection with the coming assembly elections in the State.
