Early Times Report

Jammu, July 22: An Exam Superintendent at Governemnt Higher Secondary School Mahogla in Kalakote allegedly slapped a journalist for capturing the mass copying during an exam on Monday.
According Sahil Koul a local journalist from Kalakote associated with a news channel along with a fellow journalist were assaulted by a school Lecturer, deputed as Exam Superintendent at GHSS Mahogla.
"Lecturer, Girdhari Lal Superintendent Exam Centre 48-B, Government Higher Secondary School, Mohgala, slapped me publically, when I was gathering information regarding ongoing mass copying during an exam in the said centre, this afternoon (22/07/2019). I was on official duty to cover the protest rally taken out by the locals of Mahogla town demanding a degree college in their area", said Sahil Koul.
He said that he along with his fellow journalist Sanjay Sharma, from Hindi Daily, Dainik Jagran noticed some unfair practice by the students in the said examination centre. "We tried to dig-up the matter within purview of our profession. We clicked photographs from a toilet adjacent to the exam centre, where some students were tearing some note books obviously for copying in the exam", he said, adding that "in the meantime, noticing our presence and fearing that he would be exposed for his misdeed and dereliction of his duty, the Exam Superintendent, Girdhari Lal got infuriated and slapped me in full public view for questioning ongoing mass copying under patronage."
He said that he has filed a written complaint against the Girdhari Lal Superintendent Exam Centre at Police Station Dharmsal. "I have also talked to SSR Rajouri over this incident", he said.
