| After KVIB scam, focus shifts to bunglings in Sports Council during PDP-BJP regime | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 22: After cancelling backdoor recruitments in the Khadi and Village Industrial Board (KVIB), Governor Administration is now going to focus on J&K Sports Council wherein hundreds of workers of a particular political party were recruited at the cost of genuine and deserving educated youth of the State.
Credible sources said that investigating agencies have already conducted initial probe in which it was established that during PDP-BJP regime Sports Council was virtually turned into wing of a political party and large number of youth with a particular ideology were recruited through backdoor in the Sports Council.
Sources said that not only workers of a particular party were recruited in the Sports Council but this organization was abused to arrange rallies of the particular party during that period.
Sources said that during PDP-BJP coalition regime, huge funds from Sports Council were mis-used in organizing political activities in different parts of the State.
Important to mentioned that in the month of June this year, Governor administration has cancelled 2016 job selections in KVIB.
The governor administration has cancelled the selection of candidates for 101 posts made in 2016 in KVIB during PDP and BJP government after an inquiry report was submitted by the inquiry committee which probed the issue of illegal appointments.
"All the selections made in the KVIB pursuant to advertisement notice No. KVIB/01 of 2016 dated 08.10.2016 are quashed/ cancelled," the order says.
The KVIB appointments in 2016 during PDP-BJP coalition invited much attention after family members PDP leaders were featured among the selected candidates. |
