| Innerwheel Club Jammu celebrates Raksha Bandhan with BSF jawans | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 11: Members of Innerwheel Club along with wives of BSF personnel solemnized the festival of Raksha Bandhan at Suchetgarh. About 25 members participated in the programme with great enthusiasm. They tied 'rakhis' and applied 'tilak' on the forehead of jawans with prayers to safeguard the lives of countrymen.
Later, a plantation drive was also carried out as a mark of memory of the occasion in the times to come. About 100 saplings of various medicinal values were planted by club members a BSF jawans.
Members of club propagated for "No to Plastics" to the families of BSF personnel and distributed cloth bags amongst jawans.
The jawans served refreshments to the members of Innerwheel Club. The members including President Reva Raina, Secretary Rattan Prabha, Editor Asha Chandan, Anila Mengi Chairman of RK College Inder Mohani and Dr Meena Sharma Principal of St. Merry Divine Convent School were present on the occasion. |
