Congress backs Pak agenda, promotes communal divide: Brig Gupta
8/13/2019 10:15:11 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 13: Unable to digest the bold and historic decision taken by the Modi government to undo the political blunders of Congress, its leadership is once again promoting Pakistan's agenda on Kashmir through motivated and irresponsible statements asserted Brig Anil Gupta, State Spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party. The hurried press conference called by Rahul Gandhi in midst of the ongoing CWC meeting was an example of irresponsible and immature behaviour wherein he attempted to build a false narrative of violence in Kashmir when no such incidents had taken place across the state accused Brig Gupta. By doing so he was only promoting Pakistan's agenda of falsely blaming the government of committing atrocities on Kashmiris. It is regretful that while Pakistan failed to gather any support internationally to its false propaganda, it found a willing ally in Congress within India rued Brig Gupta. It is not for the first time that the region has been witness to restrictions. Kashmir had seen long spells of curfew in the past in 1993, 2008 and 2016. However, there is a marked difference this time for which the government needs to be complimented. While in the past also the curfew was imposed to prevent loss of lives or loss to government properties yet large scale violence was resorted to leading to injuries and deaths. No such incident has been reported in the last nine days which shows the alacrity with which the government has acted this time stated Brig Gupta. Rather than cooperating with the government Congress is trying to vitiate the peaceful environment through provocative statements rued the BJP spokesperson.
