NC, PDP, Cong had ganged- up to demolish Dogra identity to appease Geelani

Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 13: Before and after August 5- when the Article 370 was scrapped by the Rajya Sabha, PDP, NC and Congress leaders of Kashmir Valley are inciting Dogras against this decision of the BJP government. Leaders of these parties have warned that identity of Dogras was under threat after abrogation of Article 370 because outsiders will influx Jammu.
But they have forgotten that PDP, NC and Congress had joined together to stop issuing of Dogra certificate in the year 2011 when NC was heading coalition with Congress and some other small groups. PDP was principal opposition party but at that time no leader from the party had opposed decision of the then state government to destroyed Dogra identity.
Instead of playing the role of opposition to protect interests of Dogras, PDP had rather mounted pressure on the NC-Congress coalition government to scrap Dogra certificate due to direction from Sayeed Ali Shah Geelnai.
On April 19, 2011 Geelani had warned violence in J&K if the state government failed to stop issuing certificates to the residents of Jammu by April 30.
"The Dogra certificate is mainly a false certificate which the government has implemented. As far as our party Hurriyat Conference is concerned, we are clearly against it. A false certificate is being issued in the name of the Dogra certificate, and, we immediately demand the government to revoke this certificate," he added.
Shockingly Geelani had set April 30 as deadline but the then state government in which many Congress leaders from Jammu were ministers rescinded Dogra certificate on April 28 because all parties namely NC, PDP and Congress could not get guts to oppose Geelani.
Political parties and both factions of Hurriyat Conference had celebrated their victory after demolishing identity of Dogras and hailed the decision of Jammu and Kashmir government of revocation of the Dogra certificate.
Hardline Hurriyat Conference had termed the revocation of the Dogra certificate as a "victory" of the people of Kashmir and said it will be a morale booster for Kashmiris.
