Pertinently, many critically injured persons have lost their lives during the past several years and the administration of the said hospital is always claimed that no critical care ambulance is available in the hospital.
"Question is raised where the Critical Care Ambulance has gone as well as its equipments?, sources asked and adding the matter has come to light when the firm asked about the payment of the ambulance, which was handed over to the officials of the GMC Jammu. Sources told that in the year of 2008 to cater to the needs of the patients, a Critical Care Ambulance was purchased by the hospital administration and the cost of the said ambulance was more than Rs 20 lakhs then.
"In the absence of technical staff, doctors as well as driver, the same parked unused within premises of the Chest and Diseases Hospital Jammu for many years and later, the same was also shifted to Super Specialty Hospital Jammu from Chest and Diseases Hospital for its use, "sources stated, adding that but the ambulance had gathered dust in the SSH Jammu for many years too.
Later, on it was sent to GMC Jammu where the vital equipments of the Critical Care Ambulance were stripped off and converted into an ordinary van.
