Holy Charri/Akhand jyot of Machail Mata Yatra reaches Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Aug 18: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana accompanied with SSP Kishtwar Dr. Harmeet Singh Mehta today welcomed Annual Charri/ Akhand Jyot of Holy Machail Mata Yatra at New DC Office Complex Kishtwar here with religious fervor and gaiety.
SDM Paddar, Varunjeet Charak, ASP Kishtwar, Nasir Ahmed, President Sarv Shakti Sevak Sanstha J&K Nek Ram Manhas, Vice President (Advocate), Chuni Lal Thakur, Publicity Secretary Chuni Lal Shan,
Press Secretary of Sanstha, Nirmal Singh Pachnanda, Deepankar Gupta besides other dignitaries and devotees remained present for Chari Mubarak.
The Akhand Jyot was brought for the first time from Jwala Mata Kangra and today it arrived at Kishtwar wherein Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar paid floral obiesance to the holy Charri of Machail Mata.
The night halt of Charri is at Galhar, Nagseni and on 22nd of August it reaches Holy Temple of Machail Mata and the Hawan shall be performed on 23rd of August 2019.
Speaking at the occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana stated that this yatra attracts thousands of pilgrims from different states of the country and wished a peaceful and religious journey to the devotees accompanying Holy Charri/Akhand Jyot and urged upon them to pray for the peace, prosperity and progress of the state at the holy Machail Mata temple.
He further stated that adequate securtiy arrangements and other necessaery arrangements were made for the Charri/Akhand Jyot enroute.
It is pertinent to mention here that Holy Annual Machail Mata Yatra started officially from 25th of July, 2019, the Yatra continued smoothly and more than 7,500 devotees paid obeisance to the holy deity upto 04th of August 2019.
Havan was also performed at Machail Mata temple by the District administration on 25.07.2019 for the peace and prosperity of the district.
On 05th of July the holy Machail Yatra was suspended due to unrest in the state and in view of current law and order situation.
